Students more than 25 years of age can now appear for NEET

As per the Supreme Court verdict announced on 31st March 2017, students older than 25 years of age are also allowed now to appear for NEET 2017, the all India examination for medical and dental courses. The court is also expected to give its decision on inclusion of Urdu in the list of languages in which the examination can be taken.

Our Take:

The decision of the apex court is expected to be a boon for students who have missed out on the opportunity to get into medical/dental education earlier. Also, the likely inclusion of Urdu as a language is expected to benefit a sizeable number of students.
