  • Don’t start with ‘Myself’. It shows that you are self-centered and puts the panel off.
  • Never be late, not even a single minute.
  • Don’t show your eagerness to get the admission. Stay calm.
  • Don’t chew gum or smell like smoke.
  • Don’t be unprepared for typical interview questions. You may not be asked all of them in every interview, but being unprepared looks foolish.
  • Do not be rigid with your posture; don’t slouch, and don’t sit on the edge of your chair.
  • Don’t show negativity in your thoughts. Always be positive and determined to achieve.

NTSE Cut Off: Expected and Previous

The minimum marks that candidates need to attain in the examination in order to qualify, is referred as the Cut Off marks. Similarly, to deduce the list of shortlisted candidates, National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT) sets some minimum marks for NTSE Examination that aspirants need to attain for passing the exam. Hence, it is a must for every aspirant to get the details of the NTSE Cut off marks. Usually, the cut off marks of NTSE Exam is released after the declaration of final result. However, some institutes and web portals release the expected NTSE cut off for the students to prepare well for the examination. NTSE (National Talent Search Examination) is a scholarship exam, conducted on the national level. NCERT conducts the scholarship programme for the Class 10th students. The examination is conducted in 02 stages that are-

  • NTSE Stage-I- Students appearing in class 10th examination are eligible to appear in Stage-I exam, which is conducted in the month of November by the State/UT.
  • NTSE Stage-II- Students who qualify the stage-1 exam are eligible to appear in stage-2 exam wherein students of different states compete at national level. Usually, the stage-2 exam is conducted in the month of May.

Every year, National Talent Search Examination (NTSE), a national level exam is conducted by National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT) to award scholarships. Some Important Stats from Previous Year NTSE exams

National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT) conducts the National Talent Search Examination (NTSE), a national level exam, every year to award scholarships. Every year, lakhs of students appear in the examination to avail scholarships. This scholarship examination is conducted in 2 stages, State Level (Stage-I) and National Level (Stages-II). Both stages include Mental Ability Test (MAT) and Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT). Aspirants need to excel in both the examinations in order to avail the scholarship. Students should know some important facts and Stats of NTSE Examination before appearing.

  • In NTSE 2016 exam, a total of 975 students were declared qualified from across India in NTSE. NTSE examinations test logical and analytical skills of students and where the good understanding of the subject is needed.
  • To appear in Stage-2 examination, students have to qualify the Stage-1 exam. Every year, almost 4000 students appear in Stage-II exam.

NTSE Scholarship

According to the NTSE Scholarship Programme, students will get scholarship of below-mentioned amount are at different stages of education-

Class-XI to XII students will receive a scholarship of Rs. 1250/- per month

Undergraduates and Postgraduates students will receive a scholarship of Rs. 2000/- per month. The scholarship amount for Ph.D. students will be fixed in accordance with the UGC standards

  • Students belonging to Scheduled Caste (SC) category are eligible for 15% reserved scholarships.
  • Students belonging to Scheduled Tribe (ST) category are eligible for 7.5% reserved scholarships.
  • Students belonging to Physically Challenged group are eligible for 3 % reserved scholarships.
