The application for NEET 2016 Phase 2 is only a few days away from closing. The last date for registering is June 25 and the test is scheduled to be conducted on July 24.
Aspiring medical students who want to apply for NEET 2016 Phase 2 will have to first register themselves online. Candidates, who have already registered for AIPMT 2016 /NEET 1, should not fill the form as a new applicant and use their AIPMT 2016 registration number to apply. If these candidates fill the form as fresh applicants, they will lose candidature for both tests. So be careful, because they will not be allowed to appear for NEET II and their candidature for AIPMT 2016/NEET I will be invalid. Furthermore, candidates who appear for NEET 2016 Phase 2 will have to give up their NEET Phase I score.
The registration is a three stage procedure. In the first phase you need to obtain an online registration number. You upload your photograph and make payment in the subsequent phases.
NEET has replaced all other entrance exams
According to the Supreme Court directive NEET is now the single medical exam and replaces all state level and private entrance exams. Although the Centre has announced an ordinance that allows states to conduct their own admission test for current academic year. However, all private medical colleges and deemed institutions will have to admit students to their management quota seats through NEET only. Admissions to 15% all India quota seats for MBBS and BDS programmes will also happen through NEET.
