IRMASAT is the abbreviated form of “IRMA Social Awareness Test” where IRMA is stand for “Institute of Rural Management Anand”.  IRMA is in the Gujarat. IRMASAT 2019 is scheduled to be held on the 1st week of February 2019.

The CAT 2018 and XAT 2019 scores will form the basis of the candidate short listing for the PGDRM course (2019-21 batch) by IRMA. The shot listed candidates will need to appear in the institute level exam named “IRMASAT”. This exam is mandatory.

The PGDRM stands for Post-Graduate Diploma in Rural Management, and it is a 2-year residential programme . It is recognized as equivalent to a Master’s degree by the Association of Indian Universities (AIU) and approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE). The local, national, and international companies, development organizations, NGOs, and funding agencies give highly value to the students with PGDRM degree. The campus placement so far is 100%.

IRMASAT 2019 Exam Eligibility

There are 10 points which contributes towards the eligibility criteria for the PGDRM 2019 course or IRMASAT 2019 exam. They are as below-

  1. The candidates will be shortlisted for IRMASAT 2019 exam on the basis of merit score obtained in CAT 2018 or XAT 2019 exam. So, IRMASAT aspirants need to score good marks in CAT or XAT exams.
  2. The minimum education qualification required is a bachelor’s degree from recognized institution with 15 years of education.
  3. The minimum marks required for IRMASAT exam in the bachelor’s degree is 50% (or equivalent CGPA). There is a relaxation of 5% for SC/ST/Differently-abled Person.
  4. There is also a need of good marks in class X and XII. The performance should be consistently good.
  5. The final year students of bachelor’s degree are eligible.
  6. The final year students must produce their bachelor’s agree document before the PGDRM course begins.
  7. The candidates must have scored minimum prescribed score in the entrance CAT 2018/XAT 2019 exams
  8. There is no work experience required for IRMASAT 2019 exam.
  9. A wide range of graduate programs are acceptable as minimum education qualification.
  10. There is no management quota for admission to PGDRM at IRMA, Anand

The registration and application process for IRMASAT 2019 is online. The candidates are advised to fill the online application form carefully because some key personal details cannot be changed later. Ensure the online payment of the fee is successful. 

IRMASAT 2019 Admit Card

In the past, IRMA usually issue the admit cards for the IRMASAT exam. But this time (IRMASAT 2019), they are not proposed to issue a separate Admit Card. The candidates will be shot listed on the basis of their CAT 2018/XAT 2019 exams.

IRMASAT 2019 Exam Pattern

There are few important points which shows the IRMASAT 2019 exam pattern as below-

  • It is an online computer based examination.
  • There will be just 40 questions related to social concerns.
  • All the 40 questions will be MCQs type.
  • There will be 5 answer options to each question.
  • There will be a negative marking of 25% of the mark of questions. i.e. 0.25 marks will be deducted from the total obtained marks for each wrong answer.
  • The test will be in English language only.
  • There is no segmentation of questions i.e. there will be no section-wise pattern.
  • The questions will be formed from social concern topics like Poverty, Government schemes, Agriculture, Recent developments, Rural India etc.

TISSNET is the abbreviation of “TISS National Entrance Test” where TISS is the “Tata Institute of Social Sciences”. The TISSNET is conducted for 55 different Master-Degree programmes across 21 schools and 45 centers of TISS. Besides MBA course, MA programmes are high in demand.

In the upcoming TISSNET exam 2019, there will be no negative marking and there will be single question paper for all the programmes. There will be 100 questions which need to be answered in 100 minutes. And the question paper will check general English proficiency, Mathematical ability, and Logical reasoning.

Salient Features of TISSNET 2019

  • Computer Based Test: TISSNET is an online computer based exam.
  • Post-Graduate Degree Programmes – TISSNET is conducted for the admission to Full-Time (Regular) Post-Graduate Degree Programmes. These PG degree courses are M.A., M. Sc., M.H.A., M.P.H., MA (HR)).
  • FOUR main campuses– TISS have 4 main campuses located at Mumbai, Tuljapur, Guwahati, and Hyderabad.
  • Easy to moderate difficulty level- TISS NET exam is of Easy to moderate level of difficulty. Those students who are preparing for CAT and similar other programs need not to do any special preparation for TISSNET.
  • SIX Areas of Test Paper – There are 6 different area which forms the base of the TISSNET exam. English, Analytical & Logical Reasoning along with General Knowledge & Knowledge on Contemporary Issues are the main areas. Those candidates who clear first round of MCQ type question are then are called for a round of Pre Interview Test and Personal Interview (PIT/PI) leading to final selection.
  • GK is Critically Important – GK is very important because of two reasons—(a) GK covers 40 questions (and hence 40 marks), and (b) the rest of the question paper will be easy to moderate for everyone. The English, Quant and LR/DI will be easy for everyone. So, the area where one can take leap is GK. By the nature of GK test, its area is vast. Anything can be there in the question paper. Hence, a rigorous study of GK stuff is required.
  • No Negative Marking – As said above, there is no negative marking in the TISSNET exam. Because the questions will be MCQ types so you can always pick an answer. There is nothing to lose. The probability of correct answer is 25% when you attempt to pick any question without actually knowing the answer. So, we can say… one answer will be correct in every 4 such randomly picked answers. And that is important gained mark.

TISSNET Exam Eligibility Criteria

The minimum eligibility requirement to apply for TISSNET 2019 exam is a bachelor’s degree with minimum 3 years duration or its equivalent (under the 10+2+3 or 10+2+4 course pattern.) Another course pattern which is acceptable is 10+2+2+1 year bridge course pattern of study. The minimum formal education required is 15 years from recognized educational institution.

Quick understanding of the eligibility criteria:

  • The minimum qualification is a bachelor’s degree.
  • The final year students of any bachelor’s degree program can apply provided they have cleared (passed) all the subject tests in previous years. In other words, the students of final year who does not have any pending back paper are eligible. For the TISSNET 2019, candidates must be able to qualify their bachelor’s degree final year exam by the first week of June 2019.
  • In case of final year students, if they have somehow couldn’t clear the exam of final year (or failed in any subject of final year) then candidature of such student is declined.
  • The final year students should be able to produce result of their bachelor’s degree programme before September 30, 2019

  • The candidates can apply for 3 programmes maximum across any 2 campuses of TISS. After getting admission, the change of programmes is not possible.
  • Each candidate need to fill just one online application form. And they can apply for maximum 3 different programmes in the same application form. All the application forms will be cancelled if any candidate is found multiple forms are filled.
  • The scanned copies of education and caste certificates are required to be uploaded in their prescribed format. So, first know the formats very well, get your documents in that format then fill the online application form.

IBSAT is the abbreviated form of “IBS Aptitude Test” where IBS stands for “ICFAI Business Schools”. And ICFAI is the abbreviated form of “Institute of Chartered Financial Analysts of India”. In other words, we can say IBSAT is “ICFAI Business Schools Aptitude Test”. ICFAI was established in the year 1984 as a not-for-profit educational society in Telangana. Today, the institute has a national presence and with the sponsoring and establishment of eleven universities across India.

IBSAT 2018 is scheduled to be conducted on 22 and 23 December. This is a 2-days online computer based MBA/PGPM test for the course duration 2019-21. This test will open-up the gateway to the 9 campuses of IBS.

IBSAT 2018 Exam Eligibility

There are three key eligibility criteria prescribed by ICFAI foundation of Higher Education. These important eligibilities are–

  1. Graduate in any discipline – The first eligibility criteria is the degree of graduation in any discipline with not less than 50 percent marks. The candidates of graduation final year are also eligible provided they should be able to complete the course before May 31, 2019.
  2. Minimum 15 years of study up to Graduation- The candidate must have regular education in 10+2+3 basis. In fact these are AICTE guidelines.
    [The candidates applying for PhD with AICTE need to have 2 years full time Post Graduation in Management or other professional qualification like CA/ICWA with minimum 60% marks or equivalent.]
  3. Education in English Medium Or must have TOEFL/NELT/IELTS Scores – The requirement of English written, reading, listening, and speaking are important for the MBA/PGPM course in ICFAI Business Schools. The candidates appearing in IBSAT 2018 should have either their education in English Medium or present TOEFL/NELT/IELTS score by May 31, 2019.

IBSAT 2018 Online Application Process:

You can find IBSAT 2018 application form at https://www.ibsindia.org/. You need to first register using scanned passport size of your copy, scanned copy of your signature and graduation certificates. After payment you’ll get the application number and password.

While filling the application form, ensure that you have mentioned valid email address, telephone number and address. You’ll need to upload scanned marks sheets of 10th, 12th, and graduation. The percentage is calculated as per certificate issuing university.

IBSAT 2019 Admit Card

After successful submission of application form, admit cards are available for download. The facility to download the admit card is continuously till the exam date. The admit card contains date, time, and venue besides personal information. Admit card is a mandatory for every single candidate.

Exam Pattern of IBSAT 2018

Here is a fair idea of the exam pattern of IBSAT 2018

  • The test will be computer based.
  • The test will be held in 2 days i.e. 22 December, 2018 and 23 December 2018.
  • Each day, the test will be for 2 hours duration.
  • Total number of questions will be 140, and they will be MCQ types.
  • The difficulty level will be easy to moderate.
  • There will be NO negative marking and each question will carry 1 mark.
  • There will be 4 sections in the test paper. These sections are Verbal Ability, Reading Comprehension, Quantitative Ability and Data Adequacy & Data Interpretation.

Section-1: Verbal Ability – This section carries the highest marks i.e. 50 (out of 140) and this section is scoring section because the questions are comparatively easy in this section. The topics covered in this sections are–

  • Phrase Replacement/one word substitute

Section-2: Reading Comprehension – This section contains 30 questions and hence 30 marks. There will be 4 passages of 8+8+8+6 question. Each passage will be of average 500-600 words length. Most of the questions will be direct (i.e. have straight answer in the passages) and some questions will be indirect (i.e. have indirect relation within the passages).

IBSAT 2018 Cutoff Prediction

The exam contains questions of easy to moderate level of difficult (around 30% questions can be placed under difficultly level). There are 9 campuses where students will take admissions. All the questions will be MCQ types and there is no negative marking. Keeping these entire factors in mind, cutoff will be moderate level.

Management Aptitude Test (MAT) is conducted by the All India Management Association (AIMA). AIMA is the association of more than 600 MBA/PGDM colleges. It conducts MAT four times a year. In the year 2018, three tests are already conducted in the months of February, May and September. The fourth test is remaining and is scheduled on Sunday December 9, 2018.

Salient Features

  • MAT exam is conducted in two phases. There are two paper based (offline test) exams in the Phase-1 and Phase-2 is for one computer based (online test) exam. In the year 2018, same pattern has been followed in May as well as September tests. And the fourth test which is scheduled in December 2018 will also follow same pattern.
  • Management Aptitude Test (MAT) is 30 years old, since 1988, MBA admission screening test. In the year 2003, MAT got approval as a national level test by the Ministry of HRD, Govt. of India.
  • National and International business colleges consider MAT Score as the admission criteria.
  • MAT is the gateway to take MBA admissions in more than hundreds institutes. MAT 2018 is the gateway to 600 colleges & institutes.
  • The application process for MAT December 2018 is completely computer based.

Exam Eligibility

There are following eligibility criteria for MAT-

  • The candidate must have a bachelor’s degree (3 years graduation program or equivalent) from a recognized university.
  • Final year students of bachelor degree course can apply.
  • There is no age restriction.

The marking criteria of the University or Institute will form the base for the percentage calculation in MAT. If the criteria of University/Institute is to convert marks into grades then the same criteria will be used to convert grades into marks and hence percentage.

The candidate must possess unique email id and phone number which will be used time-to-time during the whole process of taking admission.

MAT December 2018 exam registration can be done online only. AIMA has discontinued the offline registration process.

Candidates need to upload their soft copy of passport size photograph, scanned image of signature, and the scanned copies of their bachelor degree certificates.

The steps for online application form filling are simple. Those who are applying online for first time may take help of their peer group or someone in their college who is familiar with the process. The steps of online application for MAT exam is simple as below-

Step-1: Registration – Candidates need to register on the AIMA website https://www.aima.in.

Step 2: Application form filling – The application form is as simple as any other offline application form. Make sure you mention every detail correctly as some of the key information cannot be changed later.

Step 3: Upload Images – You’ll need to upload soft copy of passport size photo, signature, and bachelor degree certificates.

Step-4: Make Payment – The payment can be made using debit card, credit card, or net banking.

After payment, you can view, download, and print the application form.

MAT 2018 Exam Pattern

The exam pattern is not much changed from previously conducted exams. There will be 200 MCQ type questions divided in 5 sections. Candidates can now appear in both computer based exam as well as paper based. The questions in MAT exams are generally not very difficult questions so we can assume the upcoming exam will also have similar difficulty level.

MAT Exam Test Centers

There are about 60 cities in which MAT December 2018 exam will be conducted, and many the test centers will conduct both computer based and paper based exam. Almost every state (25 states) have at-least one test center.

MAT December 2018 Cutoff

First, the exam itself is not very difficult. Second, its cutoff is also not very high. So, getting admission in colleges through MAT is not very difficult. The exam pattern is also scoring. The cutoff for top level colleges is obviously higher than the other colleges.
