The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) was established in 1962 by the Government of India with the sole purpose of creating a central education system for all the students in the country. The CBSE syllabus was restricted to only government schools like the Kendriya Vidyalaya but later started including private schools which needed to get approval from the Central Government. Every year in the month of March, The CBSE conducts common examinations for Class 10 and 12. These exams are the stepping stones for further studies and very important in a student’s life.

This year, the CBSE conducted its common examinations from the 9th of March with the last examination on the 10th of April. A Class 10 student is required to write a maximum of 5 papers to qualify for higher education. English is a mandatory subject while students can opt out of different choices for language.

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has declared the CBSE Class 10th board results 2017 today on the official websites cbse.nic.in, cbsresults.nic.in and results.nic.in. Like the previous year, millions of students had appeared for the Board Examinations.

  • Patna- 95.50
  • Allahabad- 98.23
  • Dehradun- 97.27
  • Ajmer- 93.30
  • Trivandrum- 99.85
  • Chennai- 99.62
  • Bhubaneswar- 92.15
  • Chandigarh- 94.34
  • Guwahati- 65.53

How to Calculate CGPA?

Add the grade points scored in all the five subjects (as the scores of the additional 6th subject excluded) and divide the total by 5.The received result is the CGPA.To calculate the overall percentage, multiply the CGPA with 9.5.
