Salient Features

The Indian Institute of Foreign Trade (IIFT) was established in 1963 and they have been conducting the entrance exam in various centers across India.

IIFT is a 2 years MBA program entrance exam

• IIFT Program Name: MBA (International Business-IB)
• Master of Business Administration in International Business (MBA-IB) makes IIFT the only institute in the country among the top 10 Business schools of India. It is the only institute which offers such program
• IIFT MBA (IB) Seats: 420 seats, there are 220 seats in Delhi Campus and 200 seats in Kolkata Campus. They have opened another campus at Kakinada
• IIFT has an excellent placement record with good rumeration both in the country and globally, this is the main feature which attracts the students across the globe.
• It is a written test which is conducted annually.

Important Dates

The online application date was extended till 24^th September 2018. The candidates even had the option to change the test center till 5^th November 2018.

The candidates can start downloading the admit cards from 16^th November 2018. The candidates can visit the IIFT website to download and print the admit card.

The exam is scheduled on 2^nd December 2018.

The candidates are required to carry one of the following identity proof along with the admit card

• Passport
• Election I Card
• Aadhar Card,
• PAN Card, or
• Driving License

Foreign nationals and NRIs can submit the online application form and GMAT document by 15th February 2019

Result will be declared on first week of January 2019 and selection procedure in January/February 2019

Exam dates and schedule

The exam will be held on 2^nd December 2018 from 10.00 am to 12 noon. The candidates are reuested to be at center on or before 9.00 am.

Exam Eligibility

The following is the eligibility criteria for appearing for IIFT

Qualification: the candidate should be a graduate with minimum duration of 3 years in any stream. Candidates who are in final year of graduation can also apply for IIFT, provided they complete the course before 7^th October 2019

Marks: The candidate should secure 50% marks and for the candidates who belong to reservation category (SC/ST/PWD candidates) should score 45%.

Age: There is no age limit for the candidates to apply for the exam

Candidates who have appeared for MBA entrance exams such as CAT /XAT in 2018 are not eligible for the exam.

Indian nationals residing in other countries for study or work are also eligible for the IIFT test. They are required to produce an application with a certificate from the Indian Embassy / High Commission /Consulate of the country stating the candidate is residing in the country for not less than 18 months.

Foreign candidates have to produce Graduate Management Aptitude Test (GMAT) score before 15^th February 2019. The candidates are required to have a valid passport

Step: 1

The application form will be displayed, fill all the details as per the instructions. This is the first part of registration, make sure that the details submitted are correct and without any errors as once the details are entered it cannot be modified. After carefully filling the details, submit the application. The confirmation of registration is intimated via registered email ID and phone number.

This step generates the registration number

Step: 2

Visit the IIFT website and login on the website “Candidate Login” link. The username will be the registration number or the application number mentioned in the email and the password as selected in the first step.

Step: 3

Fill all the details as per sections providing academic and personal details. The candidates are required to upload a recent photograph, scan of signature and reservation certificate (SC/ST/OBC) After filling all the requested details make the payment using debit card, credit card or net banking.

This completes the online registration process and the successful registration will be intimated on your registered emailed and or mobile number. Take a print of the submitted application for your record. After submission of the application log-out from the website.

Fees:

The fee structure based on the category is as follows

General category: Rs. 1,650/-

Reservation category: Rs. 825/-

Foreign National/NRI candidates: USD 85 or Rs 5,500

2018 Admit Card

The admit card is a mandatory document o be carried for the test, else the candidate will not be allowed to enter the exam center. The admit card should have a clear recent photo to allow easy identification without any confusion.

2018 Exam Pattern

There have been changes in the number of section. the sections have been increased to 6. There are addition of two sections Verbal Ability and Reading comprehension and also Data Interpretation and Logical Reasoning in the revised IIFT 2018 Exam Syllabus

2018 Syllabus

There is no specific syllabus for IIFT, the candidates have to be thorough in English, General Knowledge, Logical Reasoning, Data Interpretation and Quantitative Analysis.

Another major change in the question paper is the reduction of number of questions from 123 to 114. There will be negative marking for each question (1/3^rd mark)
