The All India Institute of Medical Sciences will now offer 100 MBBS seats from the country for the academic session 2017- 2018. Currently, the institute allows the admission of 72 Indian nationals and five foreigners for its undergraduate programme and as per the latest announcement, it will increase the number of seats and will admit 100 students for the upcoming academic session.
Dr. M C Misra, AIIMS Director said
“We have decided to increase our UG intake, and, I am happy to announce that from next year onwards, we will be admitting 100 students for this course.”
He further added that the percentage of reserved seats under different categories will remain the same.
Established in 1956, AIIMS has one main campus in New Delhi and six regional centres in Bhopal, Bhubaneswar, Patna, Raipur, Jodhpur, and Rishikesh.
To get admission in AIIMS MBBS course, aspirants need to appear in the Computer Based Test (CBT) Entrance Examination, to be held in the month of May 2017. The online application forms for the same will be issued in the month of February 2017.
Only Class 12th or Intermediate Science (I.Sc.) or an equivalent Exam passed candidates are eligible to apply for the examination. Besides, they must have PHYSICS, CHEMISTRY, ENGLISH, and BIOLOGY subjects in the qualifying exam (class 12th exam) that should have passed from a recognized University/ Board of any Indian State.
